Beyond the Silence: Understanding Suicide in Latino Communities, led by Diane Arms. , explores suicide in the Latino Community.

Beyond the Silence: Understanding Suicide prevention in Latino Communities explores the unique cultural, social, and systemic factors that influence suicide risk, mental health, and help-seeking behaviors within Latino communities. This training examines the impact of stigma, family dynamics, immigration stress, trauma, language barriers, and access to care while highlighting the strengths and resilience found within Latino cultures. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of warning signs, protective factors, and culturally responsive strategies to support prevention, intervention, and compassionate conversations around suicide and mental health.

This webinar is designed for caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and community providers seeking to strengthen their ability to support grieving children and teens impacted by suicide loss. By increasing understanding and building confidence in these conversations, participants will be better equipped to foster connection, resilience, and healing during one of the most challenging experiences a young person can face.
